Advanced Fascial TherapyFascia is connective tissue which is completely uninterrupted system from head to toe. Fascia is our cushion, safety net, our structure- holding every organ, blood vessel, bone, nerve fibre and muscle in place.
Our Fascia can be changed, ‘stuck’ or damaged in many ways. Trauma can be held in the connective tissue on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. In this work we connect in with the whole fascial system using subtle techniques and hold positions for significant periods of time, we listen to the body and create a safe space to invite change. This can often lead to profound results and effects. |

Advanced Fascial Therapy also know as ‘Fascial Informed Bodywork’ is an effective hands-on-therapy for the treatment of chronic injuries, pain, discomfort and reduced mobility, as well as for emotional holding patterns. The techniques are safe, gentle, permissive and profoundly effective.
Advanced Fascial Therapy aims to treat injury at its source, allowing the patient to heal at the deepest level. Hands are placed directly on the skin, and sustained, gentle pressure is applied into the body. The trained therapist ‘listens with their hands’ and feels into the connective tissue restrictions and facilitates change within the fascial network. To be truly effective the techniques take several minutes, as fascia cannot be forced; the body will resist if too much pressure is applied. Advanced Fascial Therapy works with the physical and emotional component of injury. |

The aim of these techniques is to reduce pain and increase function, treating the root cause of pain and dysfunction. A skilled therapist will slowly feel into the fascial network, using a variety of different techniques and responding to the needs of the client. The client learns to bring their attention into their body and begin to feel what is going on inside their body. The therapist works with the client at all times, engaging them in the treatment, as without feeling there is no healing.
"I'd booked in for a deep tissue massage to get some relief for long term neck pain. I had seen two physios and an osteopath but nothing worked and I was resigned to the pain. I decided at the last minute to change to the advanced fascia treatment and was absolutely stunned by the results. One session dramatically improved my symptoms and the second eliminated my pain completely. I didn't know what to expect as I'd never heard of it before but it's a very gentle treatment that helps to unlock and relax your fascia, which I have since discovered is an overlooked but very important part of your body. Adele gently moved my skin/tissues and somehow seemed to move the parts of me that had seized up. I still don't know exactly how it worked but I'm tremendously grateful!"
