COVID-19 Update and our Policy

Unfortunately due to Brighton being in Tier 4 and the increase in Coronavirus cases - all Close contact Services have to close again. Aloha Massage is now closed until it is safe to reopen.
We are really excited to let you know that we are open for hands on treatments!   The Government have given 'Close Contact Services' the go ahead to re-open with some clear guidelines and restrictions to keep us all safe.  Your safety is still our top priority, we have carried out full risk assessments and adhere to COVID-19 guidelines produced by the government and our professional association, the Federation of Holistic Therapies (FHT).  Adele has also completed a comprehensive qualification in 'Control of Cross Infection in a Post COVID-19 world'.

We know its been a long wait for your well needed massage and we can't wait to be treating you again in person.  To begin with we won't be able to offer all our treatments and we have put in the following steps and changes below.

We have been asked to minimize the amount of time in close proximity so in light of this we will:​
  • Only be able to offer 30 or 60 minute treatments for now.
 
  • Be doing new client consultations online or by phone at a scheduled time before your treatment.
 
  • Currently we will limit the amount of time clients are face up, but can offer face massage if required.
 
  • If you are in the Elderly or Vulnerable category please speak to us before booking as we would like to best assess the risks and benefits of a treatment together.   If you are in the 'High Risk' category and shielding at the moment we will not be able to treat you until the government says its safe to do so. 
 
  • We have implemented enhanced cleaning and hygiene measures between clients and across the salon including frequent touch points (like banister, doorbell, taps, sanitizer bottles etc)

  • ​NHS Test and Trace:  If a case is suspected or we are contacted by NHS Test and Trace; Aloha Massage will only share the following details: Name, contact details, time, length of treatment and date of appointment with them.  This information will help the NHS to contact people who are at risk of having been exposed to Coronvirus.  You have the right to withhold this information by unchecking the box on the COVID-19 Pre-treatment questionnaire, however this is not advisable.  This information will  be handled in strict confidence and will only be kept and used in line with data protection laws.​​

  • NHS COVID-19 App - For those using the app, Aloha Massage will display the official QR code poster at our entrance so clients can easily 'Check In'.  Click here for more information about the app.

What you need to know and do before attending:

  • You will be asked to complete a COVID-19 Pre-screening Questionnaire before each treatment.  Ideally please complete this no more than 24 hours before your appointment.  (The link to this online form will also be in your confirmation email.)​

  • Ideally please bring your own water​

  • Please wear a Face Mask or Face Covering while in the beauty salon. (You won't have to wear it will face down on the massage couch)

  • Please arrive on time and where possible wait outside until your Therapist comes to collect you.  (You can ring the doorbell or text when you arrive)

  • Please maintain social distancing before and after treatment.  Only 1 person allowed in waiting area - please do not sit on the sofa.
 
  • Please wash or sanitize your hands on arrival. (Hand sanitizer will be provided)
 
  • Your Therapist will be wearing a Face Shield and mask
   
  • Please bring as little as possible with you. 
 
  • Please either pay in advance via Bank Transfer or by card where possible. 
 
  • If you have any COVID-19 symptoms or you are feeling unwell please contact us and defer your treatment.

We recognise this is a lot of information and this 'new normal' can feel quite scary.  Things may look a little different for a while but our hands and hearts remain the same - dedicated to bringing you a little bit of peace and helping to improve your well-being.
